About Anita - the person behind i4design
For over 20 years I've been working with computers and technology - starting out in company IT support, then network and server admin, and now building and maintaining sites for clients. Network support suited me well because I found that solving computer-related problems and helping people was very rewarding.
During down-times, when not responding to support calls or upgrading hardware and operating systems (a very common pastime in the 90's), I taught myself how to make websites - using MS Front Page and then Dreamweaver. Around the same time I was also learning the ins-and-outs of Photoshop and using it in conjunction with my photography - a hobby and profession I've enjoyed throughout my life.
Then it all came together... with website design and development I found a way to combine my love of tech, design and helping people with tech-related issues. i4design has since evolved into a full service web design company specialising in creating custom websites, as well as providing VPS hosting, maintenance and support.
It also means that, even though I'm a one woman operation, I'm part of a large team of clever and enthusiastic people within my profession who will help out at any time if I'm ever in need of assistance.
I love working with enthusiastic clients who understand that it requires continuous investment to deliver the best results - clients who are as passionate about their business as I am about strategy, marketing and design. Throughout my career I've been drawn to working in and for manufacturing companies. I enjoy the intricacies of engineering and production lines as well as the systems and processes that are required in order to run these types of businesses. I'm currently working on concentrating on this niche and am looking forward to working closely with more clients in the manufacturing industry.
Of course, my life is not all spent in front of a screen. I also enjoy hanging out with my husband Ron and our two labradors, Barney and Cass. Fast cars and horses featured heavily in my earlier days. Photography and reading have always been a big part of my life, travel is a passion and I wholly support anyone who looks after animals in need.
